How global satisfaction and ENPS of workers in Spain has evolved
03/09/2024
Thanks to the Merco Talento ranking, we have the necessary tools to carry out an evolutionary analysis of the overall satisfaction of workers in Spain. In this study, many variables are measured and one of them reflects, from 0 to 10, the state of satisfaction, as well as its evolution.
Analyzing the results of the latest Merco Talent Spain 2023 study, we can see that we are recovering and even exceeding the global satisfaction levels of pre-pandemic workers.
In 2019, Spanish workers rated their level of satisfaction in their jobs at 7.85. The highest rating came the following year, when 8.22 was reached in 2020. However, as we have mentioned, in the following years the level of compliance decreased, reaching 8.6 in 2021 and the lowest figure of 7.77 in 2022. In 2023 this trend was reversed with an increase in the overall satisfaction of Spanish workers at 8.01.
It is also worth highlighting the importance of the degree of recommendation, whether to family or close friends. This indicator is achieved in the following way. First, the number of “detractors” is obtained (% of those who score between 0 and 6), and the “promoters” (% of those who score between 9-10). To obtain the so-called ENPS, the result of the detractors is subtracted from the number of promoters (not counting the “passives” of 7-8). As a result, we know that the recommendation grade (ENPS) for the last year 2023 is higher than that of 2022, since 38.5% has been reached compared to the previous 33.1%.
These data have been obtained in the latest Merco Talent study in Spain for 2023, a rigorous monitor audited by KPMG. Merco is currently a leader and benchmark in the 19 countries where it operates, including Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama, Portugal, Italy, Uruguay, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Honduras and El Salvador.
