In the private hospital category, the ranking is led by Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Sanitas La Zarzuela University Hospital, and HM Sanchinarro University Hospital.

This edition of the ranking includes a total of 40 hospital services. A total of 11,010 surveys were conducted, representing an increase of almost 24% in the number of opinions compared to 2024, from specialists, family doctors, hospital managers and executives, nursing staff, pharmaceutical company executives, healthcare professionals in the field of hospital pharmacy, journalists, and patient associations. In addition, 145 clinical services were evaluated and analyzed using objective indicators of quality and clinical management.

The application of the methodology established by Merco for the preparation of the ranking is currently undergoing independent review by KPMG. Both the methodology used to prepare Merco Health 2025 and the limited assurance report on the ranking preparation process issued by KPMG will be available on the Merco website www.merco.info in the coming weeks.
