The best reputable hospitals and clinical services in Spain in 2020

This Wednesday, May 26, the results of the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) were presented. An independent, comprehensive and rigorous evaluation of one of the best health systems in the world: the Spanish health system.
The Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) is the only independent study that analyzes the reputation of the entire Spanish health system, and through which the actors of the health system have been evaluated based on three evaluations: the first, the evaluation carried out by the medical professionals (2,248 hospital specialists and 301 family and community medicine doctors); the second the assessment of 259 managers and heads of hospitals, 251 nurse managers, 2,758 nurses, 72 managers of pharmaceutical companies, 72 heads of hospital pharmacy, 549 heads of patient associations, as well as 163 journalists and health informants based on 16 reputation variables for clinical services; and, finally, all these assessments are complemented by the third analysis of more than 2,853 specific objective indicators of 2,704 clinical services.
In 2020, 10 evaluations and 6,777 professional surveys were carried out. On the other hand, the realization process has been subjected to an independent review by KPMG in accordance with the ISAE 3000 standard, and has the endorsement of the collegiate organizations of doctors and nurses, as well as the associations of patients and sanitary journalists.
One more year La Paz, El Clínic, Gregorio Marañón, 12 de Octubre and Vall D´Hebrón are the five public hospitals with the best reputation in Spain
In the ranking of private hospitals, the University of Navarra Clinic (1st), Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital (2nd), HM Sanchinarro / Clara Campal University Hospital (3rd), Sanitas La Zarzuela University Hospital (4th) and Centro Doctor Teknon– Quirónsalud (5th).
Of the 26 clinical services analyzed, La Paz leads the ranking in eleven of them, Clinic in six, Gregorio Marañón in four, Vall D'Hebrón in three and Ramón y Cajal and October 12 in one service each. .
On this occasion, and due to the extraordinary situation generated by Covid-19, a special ranking has been carried out that assesses which hospitals have been with the best management during the pandemic. It is headed by Gregorio Marañón (1st), La Paz (2nd) and the Jiménez Díaz Foundation (3rd).
MRS has an Advisory Council formed by the General Councils of doctors and nurses, Patient Associations, journalists and health communicators; as well as people of recognized prestige and experience in Spanish health. Specifically, we find Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno (CERMI), Graziella Almendral del Río (ANIS), Fernando Lamata (in a personal capacity), Florentino Pérez Raya (General Council of Nursing), Tomás Cobo Castro (Collegiate Medical Organization), Julio Sánchez Fierro (in a personal capacity) and Alejandro Toledo Noguera (Platform of Patient Organizations).
We must highlight the depth of this study, which performs a true radiography of Spanish health.
