This Thursday, May 9th, Merco and Recruiting Erasmus have announced the results of Merco University Talent Spain 2023/24, whose ranking, in this 7th edition, gives way to a classification that groups the 200 best companies to work for in 2023-2024 according to the assessment of university students and higher vocational training students.

In this seventh edition, the ranking is headed by Apple (1st), Google (2nd) and Inditex (3rd). Completing the top 10: Santander (4th), Mercadona (5th), Amazon (6th), Microsoft (7th), BBVA (8th), Mercedes-Benz (9th) and Coca-Cola (10th).

The objective of Merco Talento Universitario is, in addition, to provide information on the assessment of final and penultimate year undergraduate students of the studies completed and the university's employment services (factors that led them to choose it, degree of satisfaction with the same...), their preferences for working (sector, type of company, salary expectations...) and aspects related to the job search (how and where they look for information about companies, what factors are most valued by the choose a company as a place to work...).

Main conclusions

The level of overall satisfaction of university students with the university increases and stands at 7.53 compared to 7.49 in 2022/23. With services of employment, they are somewhat more dissatisfied, going from 6.37 points to 6.27 in 2023/2024.

University students and vocational training students prefer to work in large and multinational companies, regardless of whether they are from Spain or abroad.

University students expect to work in companies that offer quality of life/work-life balance (flexibility, teleworking...), good remuneration and benefits, and they take training and professional development into account. On the other hand, higher vocational training students have a good work environment as their third priority.
