Presentation of the pharmaceutical companies with the best reputation in 2023 (MRS 2023 1st part)

In the top 3 of the 9th edition of the Health Reputation Monitor, Pfizer (1st) and Novartis (2nd) repeat as the pharmaceutical companies with the best reputation in Spain for the third consecutive edition, and AstraZeneca enters (3rd). Continuing in the top 10: Janssen (4th), GlaxoSmithKline – GSK (5th), Lilly (6th), Sanofi (7th), Roche (8th), Bayer (9th) and Boehringer Ingelheim (10th).
The Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) also presents other classifications, such as companies with the best reputation and most innovative by therapeutic areas; the best health technology companies, led by General Electric (1st), Siemens Healthineers (2nd) and Philips Healthcare (3rd); and the ranking of biomedical device manufacturers with the best reputation, led by KLS Martin (1st), Depuy Synthes (2nd) and Stryker (3rd), as in the last edition. The ranking of business leaders in the pharmaceutical sector with the best reputation is once again headed by Jesús Ponce (Novartis), followed by Sergio Rodríguez (Pfizer), Juan López- Belmonte Encina (Rovi Laboratories). Newly, this year two new specialty areas of pharmaceutical companies have been introduced, including “Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation” and “Geriatrics.” A new classification will also be included: the assessment of the attractiveness of companies, based on the opinion of different audiences (workers, university students, business school alumni, HR...). This ranking also includes for the first time the medications and products that medical specialists consider will have a greater therapeutic impact and also specific analyzes of medical subspecialties. In addition, there has been a notable increase in participating doctors, with 2,000 more specialists since last year. In this 9th edition, 11 evaluations and 5,444 surveys have been carried out among healthcare professionals. Along with these evaluations, an analysis has been carried out in the digital field (Merco Digital), with more than 570,705 mentions and publications analyzed, and an evaluation of the reputational merits of 32 companies. The implementation process has been subjected to an independent review by KPMG in accordance with the ISAE 3000 standard, and is endorsed by collegiate organizations of doctors and nurses, as well as patient associations and health journalists.
